WHAT THE FLOOD EXPERIENCE TAUGHT ME

WHAT THE FLOOD EXPERIENCE TAUGHT ME
(We had to stay away 3 days from home, due to floods,)

1.      Take nothing for granted. Assume nothing.
2.  God comes to rescue and nurture you in the form of human beings.(My direct experience)
3.      Money buys many things but not some important things. (Like timely help)
4.      Goodness among mankind is not lost.
5.      Becoming an “orphan” in your own town is not an impossible event.( my aunt cried over phone saying this to me while we were flood  refugees)
6.      The brain  doesn’t work well in emergencies.
7.      The “show goes on”, in spite of your presence or absence.
8.      ‘Being calm’ is a very important asset.
9.      Even an inanimate structure like a house can evoke strong sentiments in us.
10.     The after effect of any calamity disrupts the mind for a few weeks at least.
11.     The degree of our suffering is nothing compared to what many others had to go through
12.     It was a great learning ,  to watch,  while many of our people,  in the social media , exposed  themselves , to be unthinking subscribers of   obsolete  ideologies , (of both directions!!!!) ,
